Elements of the National Judicial Police Brigade of Rabat arrived in Tangier to open an investigation following the seizure of a large shipment of drugs at the port of Algeciras in Spain.
Informed sources indicated that the investigation will include security officials in Tangier and the port of Tanger-Med, in order to determine the circumstances and conditions of the passage of the large shipment of cannabis, which amounted to 25 tonnes , through Tangier to Spain.
Spanish authorities have foiled an operation to smuggle 25 tonnes of cannabis aboard an international transport truck from Morocco. An investigation was opened to identify the criminal network behind his trafficking.
