Rabat/ 03rd edition of the Specialized Training Cycle for African Election Observers: Morocco predisposed to providing Africa with qualified election observers capable of promoting the democratic process in the African continent

Morocco is organizing until May 3 in Rabat, in partnership with the African Union Commission, the third edition of the Specialized Training Cycle for African Election Observers.

Mr. Bourita, at the opening of this third edition of the Specialized Training Cycle for African Election Observers, affirmed that the Kingdom is predisposed to providing Africa with qualified election observers capable of promoting the democratic process in the African continent and reiterated Morocco’s commitment to succeed in electoral processes in Africa

Some 74 participants from 45 African countries are taking part in this training cycle for African election observers, where Mr. Bourita co-chaired this event with Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the African Union.

Note that the Kingdom is the first African country to train election observers in Africa. With this third successive edition, the training cycles benefited 155 African observers, making it possible to develop a continent-wide database.

The training cycle for electoral observers is part of Morocco’s commitment, under the Enlightened Leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, to achieve strategic objectives aimed at consolidating democratic governance and practice in Africa, for a stable, peaceful and prosperous continent.
