The achievements of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency exceed 13.8 million dollars for the period 2019-2024

A report from the Al Quds Committee, under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and chaired by HM King Mohammed VI, may God preserve him, indicates that the assessment of the achievements of the Bay Mal Al Quds Agency, executive arm of the Committee, in the Holy City exceeds 13.8 million dollars between the two sessions of the OIC Summit (2019-2024).

The report, distributed to participants in the 15th OIC Summit Conference held in Banjul (May 4-5, Gambia), highlights that the Agency continues, under the personal supervision of His Majesty the King, to carry out its duties to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Al Quds, through economic, social, educational, cultural and housing projects aimed at providing a direct response to the needs of the Maqdissi.

These projects, notes the document, have contributed considerably to improving the conditions of the inhabitants of Al Quds, to supporting their resistance, to preserving the civilizational identity of the Holy City, to promoting peaceful coexistence and fraternity between the followers. of the three celestial religions and to promote dialogue within a framework of mutual respect and acceptance of difference.

The report highlights “the continued support of the Kingdom of Morocco for the Palestinian cause and its permanent solidarity with the Palestinian people”, the latest illustration of which was the large-scale humanitarian operation, ordered by HM King Mohammed VI , may God preserve Him, President of the Al Quds Committee, for the benefit of the Palestinians in Al Quds and Gaza during the month of Ramadan.

In addition to emergency humanitarian interventions, the report highlights the diversified nature of the Agency’s actions on the ground, through programs and projects aimed at providing social support to the Maqdessi and ensuring them a dignified life, in addition to care of maqdessi orphans, the granting of school scholarships, as well as the organization of activities focused on youth, sport, childhood, women and people with specific needs, protection of heritage, authentic Palestinian arts, the promotion of the unifying civilizational identity of Al Quds and support for studies and research on Al Quds Acharif.

The report also notes the diversity of the Agency’s achievements in support of the sectors of education, health, construction and rehabilitation, housing, protection of historic buildings, social assistance, as well as the program emergency aid in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic, media and press freedom and the annual “Aouna” campaign for the olive harvest.

The document also mentions the Agency’s working methodology based on a system of pioneering programs, as evidenced by the “Bayt Al Maqdiss” Research and Study Center, the “Arribat” Observatory for observation, monitoring and evaluation in Al Quds, the Platform for social and solidarity commerce “Dalala”, the Children’s Club for Al-Quds, the Civil Initiatives for a sustainable human development program in Al Quds and the Cultural Center Moroccan “Bayt Al-Maghreb”.
