Heba Press – Marrakech
In the context of strengthening control over the quality and safety of foodstuffs offered for sale, the State Supervisory Committee in Marrakech, Friday March 21, carried out a large inspection campaign targeting a group of stores in various parts of the city.
This campaign has led to the seizure of large quantities of food that is not suitable for consumption in one of the stores located in the Palm Trail in the Bab Doukkala region.
According to the details revealed by the local authorities, the materials seized included various elements of basic materials and consumption, such as tea, patches of all kinds, milky products, flavor cubes, dates, flour, honey, chocolate, spices, assets and coffee, as well as a group of other food preparations that constitute a threat to the health of consumers.
During the inspection process, it was found that these materials have expired or in very poor condition, which makes them unconscious and, at a decisive stage, the authorities decided to temporarily close the commercial store until the end of the legal procedures and to reform the violations that have been recorded.
The State Supervisory Committee confirms that this procedure is presented within the framework of the continuous efforts deployed by the authorities to guarantee the safety of food on the markets and protect the health of consumers. The above -mentioned commercial establishment will also be subject to a new inspection by the competent committee before allowing it to reopen its doors.
