The private healthcare player in Morocco, Akdital, continues its expansion and improves its turnover (CA) by 61% for the first quarter of the year (Q1-2024), to stand at 611 million of dirhams (MDH), compared to 380 MDH at the same period of the previous year.
This performance results from several factors, notably the contribution of establishments opened in 2023, namely those of Fez, Mohammedia, Bouskoura and Béni Mellal, as well as the strong growth of historic establishments, confirming the strategic relevance of the Group and the location choices. , indicates Akdital in a financial press release on its quarterly results.
The Group also highlights the strengthening of its geographic presence in Morocco with the inauguration of the Khouribga International Clinic in February 2024, increasing its total capacity to 2,425 beds, compared to 2,022 beds in the first quarter of the previous year.
Regarding investments in Q1-2024, Akdital invested MAD 184 million in accordance with its development strategy. These funds were allocated to equipping the new Khouribga clinic and the Béni Mellal Private Hospital, inaugurated in December 2023, as well as improving the infrastructure of existing establishments.
Net debt stands at 1.22 billion dirhams (billion dirhams), down by 22 million dirhams compared to the end of the 2023 financial year and in line with the development and investment strategy. of the group.
In terms of prospects, Akdital plans to open 12 new establishments in 2024 (2 of which are already operational in Khouribga and Marrakech), bringing the Group’s total litter capacity to more than 3,700 beds (compared to 2,300 beds in 2023), i.e. increase of 61% (+1,400 new beds).
