France: A man arrested after attacking 3 people with a knife in Lyon

A man was arrested by the police on Sunday in Lyon after attacking at least three people with a knife in a metro, announced the prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Rhône region, Fabienne Buccio, on the social network X.
The facts occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. when users, who were in the corridors and metro trains between the Debourg and Jean-Jaurès stations in Lyon, reported the disturbing behavior of the attacker, reports Le Figaro, citing sources police officers.
A few moments later, the individual used his weapon, injuring at least three people, two of whom were in absolute emergency.
The regional daily “Le Progrès” for its part mentions 4 injured, including two men hit in the abdomen who are in a state of absolute emergency.
A third person was injured in the hands according to information from TF1 and is in relative emergency, notes the newspaper, specifying that none of the victims has a vital prognosis.
The victims were taken care of by firefighters and transported to Lyon Sud hospital and Edouard-Herriot hospital, we note.
An investigation into attempted intentional homicide was entrusted to the Interdepartmental Directorate of the National Police (DIPN) of Lyon.
