The educational staff of El Araoui 2 Middle School organized a protest on Saturday, September 20, 2025, to express their dissatisfaction with what they considered obstacles hindering the implementation of the “Pioneer School” project at the institution.
The participants explained that the project, which was expected to be a qualitative addition to the education system, has encountered setbacks since its launch due to the lack of the allocated electronic equipment, which has affected the course of lessons and planned activities. Teachers noted the absence of Arabic language notebooks for the second preparatory year, as well as the lack of physics notebooks, even after a full week of intensive remedial classes. This has created confusion in the scheduling of classes. The protesters considered that this situation hinders the educational path of students from the beginning and weakens the effectiveness of the project, which is supposed to improve the quality of learning and encourage excellence. They pointed out that the current content of the lessons does not meet the needs of the distinguished group of learners. The educational staff called on the responsible authorities to intervene urgently to provide the necessary pedagogical and logistical resources, considering that the success of the project remains dependent on the commitment to creating suitable conditions for its implementation on the ground. The participants in the protest also stressed the importance of addressing the recorded delays and involving educational stakeholders in evaluating the experience to ensure the smooth running of the educational process under normal conditions and to overcome any future constraints. It is worth noting that El Araoui 2 Middle School is the only institution in El Araoui chosen to implement the “Pioneer School” project during the current academic year, making it the focus of attention for families and those interested in educational affairs in the region.
