In new developments regarding the case that occupied public opinion and which some media outlets described as the "kidnapping of a newborn baby by a Moroccan couple in the Italian city of Turin," Amal Hilal broke her silence and categorically denied all accusations against her, confirming that the baby who was with her was her legally fostered daughter, and not kidnapped as it was promoted.
In an exclusive statement to HIBAPRESS, Amal Hilal, residing in Turin, clarified that what was circulated in the media has no connection to the truth, indicating that she possesses official documents proving her legal guardianship of the infant, whether from the original country or through the procedures adopted within the Italian territory.
The spokesperson continued that the circulation of such false news has caused her significant harm, both psychologically and socially, and has also tarnished her reputation in front of the Moroccan community and local public opinion, especially after she was portrayed as being involved in a human trafficking case without verifying the legal and factual data of the case.
In this context, she addressed an urgent appeal to the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Turin, to intervene and interact with the file, in order to defend her rights as a Moroccan citizen who was subjected to what she described as a "deliberate distortion of her image," and to clarify the true circumstances that accompanied this case, which was exaggerated without relying on accurate information.
The person concerned is awaiting the results of the investigations launched by the Italian authorities, confirming that she is fully prepared to cooperate with the competent authorities in order to prove the legality of the baby's situation, and to put an end to the misleading interpretations that have accompanied the case since its beginning.
