The elements of the Marrakech Security Directorate demonstrated awareness and self-control this Tuesday evening in their handling of the protests of what has become known as the (Generation Z) movement.
The vicinity of the Faculty of Law at Cadi Ayyad University in the Daoudiat district had witnessed the organization of a protest stand during which the students' voices chanted slogans demanding the right to health and education, and the security elements, under the supervision of the Wali of Security of Marrakech, Mohamed Mechichou, were keen to ensure the right to peaceful demonstration without prejudice to property and traffic. This is a positive precedent recorded for the police interests in the Marrakech Security Directorate, as its elements showed a civilized approach that takes into account human rights and guarantees the right to peaceful demonstration. It remains to be noted that this stand was dispersed peacefully and without recording any clashes with the security men, which left a positive echo among the demonstrators.
