HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Several cities witnessed acts of rioting and chaos last night that accompanied protests that went beyond their peaceful framework, resulting in the destruction of public and private property, which sparked widespread resentment in social circles.
In a noteworthy step, a number of "Generation Z" youth announced their firm rejection of these actions, confirming their withdrawal from any demonstrations that may be exploited to spread chaos or harm security and stability.
A number of these young people explained in separate posts on social media platforms that "demanding education and health reform is a legitimate right, but destruction does not represent them and does not serve their cause."
Some of these young people pointed out that the slide towards violence weakens the voice of the protesters, reduces sympathy for their just demands, and distorts the image of the generation that seeks to prove itself through creativity, innovation, and leading community initiatives.
These young people also called on their colleagues to adopt civilized ways to express social demands, considering that "the voice of reason and dialogue is stronger than violence and chaos."
A number of observers considered that the position announced by a number of "Generation Z" youth represents an indication of a shift in awareness within the youth movement, especially with the emergence of increasing calls to abandon the style of non-peaceful confrontations and to search for more effective channels for expressing opinions.
It is worth mentioning that the events that took place in some areas left large material losses, while official reports have not yet recorded the exact extent of the damage, and calls continue in youth circles to fortify any movement from attempts to exploit it in directions that do not serve the real demands.
