The Algerian media personality and political activist residing in Morocco, Walid Kbir, announced exceptional measures on his official page, in light of what he described as attempts by the Algerian regime to target the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Kbir explained in a post published on his page that this decision comes after the proven involvement of paid electronic armies affiliated with the Algerian military in spreading rumors and incitement, and exploiting peaceful demonstrations by Moroccan youth to achieve hostile goals. The statement indicated that the measures included temporarily blocking the page entirely from access from within Algeria and temporarily suspending the comments feature, with the aim of protecting the media platform from any malicious hacking or exploitation. The Algerian media personality also called on all Moroccan pages and websites to take similar steps to reduce disinformation operations and invalidate attempts to undermine the unity and stability of Morocco. Walid Kbir concluded his statements by renewing his absolute solidarity with the legitimate demands of the Moroccan youth, stressing that any attempts to undermine the determination of the Moroccan people and the unity of its good land will fail. The aforementioned media personality mentioned that these measures are taken to preserve freedom of expression and repel systematic attempts at defamation, confirming that "the wicked will be defeated."
