HIBAPRESS – Tiflet
The city of Tiflet has been witnessing a situation for several months that worries citizens and road users, due to a deep hole in the middle of the circular street leading to the highway, which has become known locally as "The Hole of Zine", in a satirical reference to the length of time it remained without repair.
Despite repeated complaints and observations from citizens, the hole is still present to this day, causing damage to a number of cars, in addition to obstructing traffic in one of the most important vital axes that connects the city to the highway. A number of residents expressed their astonishment at the absence of urgent intervention from the technical services of the community, considering that the continuation of the situation in this way reflects weak monitoring and the absence of regular maintenance of the infrastructure within the city. Local affairs followers hold the local community of Tiflet directly responsible, as it is the entity responsible for managing local affairs and maintaining public facilities, pointing out that such cases highlight the need for a more effective vision in managing the urban space. It is worth mentioning that the head of the community, Abdelsamad Archan, had confirmed in previous statements that one of his priorities was "to take Tiflet out of its rural character towards a modern urban city", but the reality, according to many citizens, reflects a clear contradiction between speech and practice, as some streets and neighborhoods still suffer from weak infrastructure, in addition to the decline in care for some green spaces that were a respite for the residents. The residents of Tiflet hope that the concerned authorities will intervene as soon as possible to repair the hole and end this problem that has become the talk of the local street, stressing that attention to infrastructure remains the main entrance to improving the city's attractiveness and enhancing the citizen's confidence in its elected institutions.
