The Center for Policies for the New South has issued its annual report on "The Geopolitics of Africa 2025"; a book that presents an original and multi-dimensional picture of the African continent, through more than 30 contributions from writers of different nationalities.

This new report, which revolves around five thematic axes and is enhanced by innovative mapping, deals in particular with electoral dynamics, ongoing conflicts, geopolitical competitions, the Atlantic Royal Initiative, as well as external perceptions of Africa.

This eighth edition, which was issued under the supervision of Abdellah Boussouf, member and principal researcher at the Center for Policies for the New South, is distinguished by the inclusion of a group discussion among the contributors, which took place within the framework of joint thinking about the geopolitical future of the continent, while highlighting the richness and multiplicity of the points of view expressed.

The report, which was issued under the title "Disintegration and Reconfiguration: Towards New Rules for African Geopolitics?", falls within an international context characterized by the escalation of geopolitical conflicts and the rapid reshaping of spheres of influence, and it also provides a strategic reading of the African location, relying on an analytical mapping of conflicts, diplomatic alliances, and regional tensions.

The CEO of the Center for Policies for the New South, Karim El Aynaoui, indicates in the presentation of this book that the 2025 version of the report is a new vision within the same path that the center is pursuing, a path that aims to serve the African continent, shed better light on it, and enable it to express its visions and assist in making decisions that concern it.

The presentation, which was also signed by Mr. Abdellah Boussouf, referred to the writers contributing to this book, who are thirty writers from 13 different nationalities, through their answers to a unified question related to African geopolitics, adding that the opinions of the contributors were diverse and intersecting, which enriched the report and distinguished it with originality.

This report falls within the framework of the continuous commitment of the Center for Policies for the New South to developing strategic and multidisciplinary analyses that are accessible to everyone, while highlighting the constantly evolving geopolitical and economic dynamics in the African continent.

The Center for Policies for the New South is a Moroccan research center whose mission is to contribute to improving public economic, social, and international policies, related to Morocco and Africa, as an integral part of the Global South.
