HIBAPRESS – Yassin Damiri
Independent MP Ismail Benbi called on the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Said Barrada, to expedite the disbursement of the exceptional grants promised to teachers who have obtained the "Leading School" badge, which is worth 10,000 dirhams, in addition to the institutional support dues for the past year.
This call came in his intervention in the Parliament, where Benbi stressed the need to fulfill commitments towards educational staff in appreciation of their efforts in the success of the reform projects that the educational system is undergoing. The MP affirmed that the delay in disbursing these dues negatively affects the morale of the teachers, who are waiting for the translation of the ministry's promises into practical measures that encourage them to give more within the educational institutions. The same MP also pointed out that material and moral incentives remain one of the most important pillars of developing professional performance and ensuring the continuity of the success of educational initiatives.
