HIBAPRESS
The government intends, within the 2026 finance bill, to allocate significant financial appropriations to strengthen the health infrastructure in the Fes-Meknes region with a set of projects. These projects include allocating 571 million dirhams for the construction of the regional hospital center in Moulay Yacoub with a capacity of 150 beds.
A budget of 547 million dirhams has also been allocated to rebuild the regional hospital center in Taounate, which will accommodate 120 beds. In addition, 500 million dirhams have been allocated to rebuild the regional hospital center in the Al Hajeb province, with a similar capacity of 120 beds. These projects, included in the regional distribution of investment memorandum related to the finance bill, aim to improve the quality and coverage of health services in the provinces of the Fes-Meknes region, which suffer from a shortage in health provision. This will alleviate pressure on the hospitals of the city of Fes, the capital of the region, and enhance medical care for the region's residents within a national vision aimed at developing the health sector.
