The Manzel area in Sefrou province was shaken, last Friday, by a gruesome murder, the victim of which was an employee of a micro-loan agency who was physically assaulted in front of the eyes of cafe customers in their astonishment at what happened and what they did not expect, by someone who fled the scene of the crime immediately after seeing the victim fall to the ground.
The victim was sitting in the cafe before being surprised by the perpetrator attacking him and pulling out a knife hidden among his clothes, with which he struck him a strong blow to the chest in front of the eyes of those in the cafe who were unable to intervene to prevent the assault or surround the accused, who took to his heels and fled the scene. The victim sustained a deep wound to his chest, from which he bled heavily before falling to the ground and being rushed to the emergency room of the Mohammed V Regional Hospital Center in Sefrou, where he died before his body was transferred to the morgue for a medical examination based on the orders of the Public Prosecution. The real reasons behind the crime were not known, at a time when the gendarmerie elements in Manzel attended its scene and examined the traces of blood and listened to witnesses who attended the incident, and raced against time to reach the place of disappearance of the perpetrator after his identity was identified based on the testimony of witnesses. The Royal Gendarmerie elements of the city of Manzel, on Saturday evening, were able to arrest the suspect, in one of the Douars of the Ain Tameknai commune, in the outskirts of Manzel.
