Within the framework of the national vision aimed at establishing a new generation of integrated territorial development programs, which aims to value local specificities and consolidate the principles of advanced regionalization, and to enhance integration and solidarity between the various territorial units, in a way that ensures that all citizens benefit from the fruits of development in a fair and equitable manner, the Prefecture of Meknes will host on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, starting at ten o'clock in the morning at the complex belonging to the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, a consultative meeting to prepare the integrated development program for the prefecture.
This meeting comes in implementation of the high royal instructions contained in the Throne Speech on July 29, 2025, as well as the high royal speech on October 10, 2025, on the occasion of the opening of the first session of the eleventh legislative year, in which His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, stressed the need to achieve balanced and comprehensive development that takes care of all territorial areas, including mountainous, rural, and coastal areas, with the adoption of a fair and integrated approach that allows highlighting the diverse qualifications of each space.
This meeting is expected to constitute a key station for consultation and coordination between various local actors, including elected authorities, administrations, public institutions, and civil society components, in order to develop a collective and integrated vision for a development program that aims to achieve spatial justice, value local resources, and enhance the attractiveness of the Meknes region as a sustainable development pole.
These consultations are expected to result in the establishment of a clear roadmap that defines the development priorities in the prefecture, in line with the high royal directives aimed at establishing a new territorial development model that achieves integration between urban and rural areas, and enhances the position of the region as a key player in national development.
