HIBAPRESS – Rabat
To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Green March, Morocco Post Group announced its celebration of this national occasion with a special issue consisting of a sheet and a commemorative postage stamp, in addition to organizing a postage stamp exhibition under the slogan "The Green March: Memory and Development Through Postage Stamps".
The group launched this special edition on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, during a ceremony hosted by the Morocco Post Museum in Rabat, headed by the group's CEO, Amin Benjelloun Touimi, in the presence of a number of personalities and stamp collectors. This edition was designed using a technique that combines embossing and hot gilding, to embody at the same time national memory and the high royal vision, and reflects the Kingdom's ambitions in the path of sustainable development. The stamp bears the image of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, during a visit to the southern provinces, in a symbolic embodiment of the spirit of territorial integration and the continuity of national history. The issue also includes pictures of major strategic projects, including the wind farm in Tarfaya and the “Noor Laayoune” solar complex, as symbols of development in these regions. The issue also highlights participants in the Green March raising the Holy Quran, the national flag, and the image of His Majesty the late King Hassan II, may God have mercy on him, while the number 50 and the map of the Kingdom complete this artistic painting that reflects the territorial unity and the historical dimension of the Green March. In parallel with this event, Morocco Post Group is organizing a postage stamp exhibition under the same slogan, displaying a collection of rare issues that document the most prominent stages of the Green March and the various development projects in the southern provinces over the past five decades.
