HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The Agadir Security Directorate, in a statement of fact issued this Wednesday afternoon, November 5th, denied the veracity of what was circulated on some digital platforms regarding the attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl using a car in the "Tadart Anza" neighborhood of Agadir.
The Directorate confirmed that investigations and field inquiries conducted in the context of seriously addressing this information revealed that it was not an attempted kidnapping, and that the posts circulated on social media were "inaccurate." The statement added that an acquaintance of the girl's mother had conveyed the news incorrectly to her, before it became clear that the child in question had gone to her educational institution as usual with her classmates, in her mothers car, without anything criminal about the matter. The Agadir Security Directorate stressed that it dealt with the circulating report with the necessary seriousness, and its elements went to the scene to verify the details of the incident, while affirming its constant keenness to react quickly to everything that would affect the sense of security among citizens, and clarify the facts to the public by relying on accurate and field-proven data.
