The residents of Tetouan celebrated today, Thursday, the fiftieth anniversary of the Green March through a major demonstration organized by the local authorities under the supervision of the Tetouan Provincial authorities, along Mohammed V Street and the New Fidan Square, where joy and national pride prevailed.
The New Fidan Square and Mohammed V Street were crowded with thousands of citizens who commemorated the victorious Green March, which coincides with the recent decision of the UN Security Council supporting the settlement of the conflict within the framework of self-government.
The celebration witnessed the wide participation of various local, cultural and youth organizations and institutions, in addition to a large public presence of the city's residents.
The local authorities had previously announced the organization of a major celebration on Thursday evening at four o'clock in the afternoon, under the supervision of the Tetouan Provincial authorities, to commemorate the Green March.
