Saeed Rahmouni, the president of the Nador Regional Council, participated in the international conference organized by the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, from October 19 to 26, 2025, under the umbrella of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
This participation came as a confirmation of Morocco's commitment to the outcomes of the 2024 Beijing Summit, which called for enhancing cooperation in sustainable development, especially in reducing poverty and activating the "Ten Partnership Measures" launched by the Chinese President. The conference addressed several important themes, such as poverty reduction, economic and trade cooperation, rural revitalization, and green development. The forum sessions witnessed a rich exchange of experiences in local governance, financing mechanisms, and social innovation in combating poverty. The program also provided participants with opportunities to learn new methods and techniques in rural development and industrial integration through field visits to successful Chinese projects. The second day of the conference was dedicated to a conference that reviewed the cooperation between the eastern and western provinces in China as a model for fighting poverty, followed by a field visit to the Minning Township Development Center. Workshops were also organized on sustainable agriculture and animal husbandry in the Gobi Desert, which highlighted new innovations in this field. At the conclusion of his participation, Rahmouni expressed his deep appreciation for the organization of the conference, praising the Chinese efforts in combating poverty and implementing innovative development projects. He also emphasized the importance of benefiting from these experiences in enhancing cooperation between China and Africa, and building a sustainable future that promotes sustainable development and shared prosperity between the two countries.
