The security services in the city of Agadir launched an extensive investigation after finding a skull and human bones inside a box that was disposed of in a garbage container in an open area in the Adar neighborhood in Tikkiouine. This discovery raised a state of alert among the security services and the residents alike.
According to local sources, elements of the judicial police in Tikkiouine moved to the scene of the accident immediately after receiving the report, where they examined the human bones that were placed inside a small box. After gathering initial testimonies from a number of citizens who witnessed a foreign person disposing of the box, the security services began reviewing the surveillance cameras surrounding the site. The recordings showed that the person in question is a French doctor residing in the Adar neighborhood, so the police moved to arrest him and subject him to investigation about the backgrounds of his possession of human bones and their source. According to the newspaper's sources, the doctor admitted during the initial investigation that he had disposed of the skull and bones, confirming that they belonged to scientific research and that another foreign doctor had handed them to him. However, the security services continue to verify the validity of these statements, pending the results of the scientific expertise. The bones and skull have been referred to the national laboratory via the scientific police, in order to conduct accurate analyzes to determine their origin and the identity of their probable owner, while the French doctor remains under investigation measures within the framework of the case that has raised many questions within local circles. The authorities continue their investigations to determine the full circumstances of this incident, which is still open to many possibilities, until the results of the scientific expertise appear and the judicial investigation procedures are completed.
