HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, announced today, Tuesday, in the House of Councilors, that the government will begin implementing the first increase in direct social support starting at the end of this month, without making any changes to the price of butane gas. He affirmed that this measure falls within the government's efforts to gradually implement this royal project and enhance its positive impact on the living standards of eligible families.
Akhannouch stated, during his response to the councilors' questions in the monthly session dedicated to the topic of “Territorial Development and the Challenges of Achieving Spatial Justice,” that the value of the support will reach 250 dirhams for each child of the first three children enrolled in school or under the age of six, and 175 dirhams for each child not enrolled in school.
Regarding orphaned children from the father's side, the Head of Government confirmed that the support will reach 375 dirhams for each child of the first three children, whether they are under the age of six or are still pursuing their studies. He also emphasized that the minimum support for each concerned family will not be less than 500 dirhams, regardless of its composition.
Akhannouch concluded by emphasizing that the choice of the social state adopted by Morocco is the result of a long structural path, based on a clear royal vision and continuous persistence that has extended over 25 years.
