Joint security efforts between the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance and the Judicial Police in the Regional Security Department of Taroudant have led to the unraveling of the mystery surrounding the theft of a foreign tourist's mobile phone in one of the tourist districts of the city.
The security services had received a notification indicating that the tourist, who holds a foreign nationality, had been subjected to a sudden theft. Field investigations were immediately activated, and precise technical data provided by the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance were utilized. These elements enabled the investigators to identify the main suspect in record time. The operation resulted in the arrest of a person suspected of involvement in the theft, and the stolen mobile phone was seized and returned to its owner after completing the applicable legal procedures. Investigations are still ongoing under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor's Office to identify the remaining potential accomplices in this criminal act, with a view to arresting them and bringing them to justice. This operation once again reflects the effectiveness of coordination between the various security agencies and their pivotal role in combating crime and enhancing the sense of security, thereby solidifying the position of Taroudant as a safe and welcoming tourist destination.
