The coach of the Moroccan reserve team, Tarik Sektioui, held a press conference this morning, Sunday, to talk about the team's preparations for the match against the Saudi Arabian national team within the Arab Cup competition, which he described as a crucial stage in the path of the "Atlas Lions".
Sektioui confirmed during the conference that winning the match will boost the team's chances of qualifying for the second round, stressing that the technical staff is working to prepare the players in the best possible way physically, technically and tactically, to ensure they enter the match with maximum readiness and achieve victory. Regarding the goalkeeping file, Sektioui stressed that the final ranking of the goalkeepers was decided before the start of the tournament, where he considered Mehdi Benabid the first goalkeeper, followed by Chahab as the second goalkeeper, adding that he gambled by not including Benabid in the last match to avoid exhausting him, especially after a number of players joined the national team in recent days. He confirmed that Benabid will be the main goalkeeper against Saudi Arabia unless any emergency prevents his participation. The coach of the reserve team clarified that the team's goal is clear, which is to win the match, confirming that the group possesses all the ingredients to deliver a strong performance that guarantees securing the three points against the Saudi Arabian national team.
