The National Security forces in Larache managed, on Saturday night, to thwart the activity of a network suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, after raiding the headquarters of an association dedicated to people with disabilities and seizing significant quantities of hashish inside.
According to local sources, the operation resulted in the seizure of more than 25 bundles of hashish and a car suspected of being used in storage or smuggling operations. Ten suspects were arrested, including a taxi driver, and were placed at the disposal of the investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, pending the identification of the remaining people involved and the networks associated with them inside and outside the city. This incident is unprecedented in that it concerns the use of an association headquarters in criminal activity, while the authorities confirm the continuation of their efforts to reduce crime and enhance security in the region.
