Spanish Civil Guard officers have arrested an internationally wanted person suspected of involvement in a major financial fraud case worth 748,000 euros. This occurred in a precise security operation carried out in Macanet de la Selva, located in northeastern Spain.
This arrest was the result of close coordination between Moroccan security services and their Spanish counterparts, based on an international arrest warrant issued by the Moroccan authorities after the suspect fled the national territory and attempted to hide within Spanish territory. Preliminary information indicates that the case relates to complex financial fraud operations carried out in Morocco, which necessitated tracking the suspect internationally. Investigations led to the identification of his location before the Spanish police were able to arrest him without resistance. It is expected that the case will be presented to the competent judicial authorities in Spain to consider the procedures for the extradition of the fugitive to Morocco, within the framework of the bilateral agreements signed between the two countries in the field of combating organized crime.
