After closing yesterday, Thursday, on the occasion of the New Year, the Casablanca Stock Exchange began its trading today, Friday, on a rise, with its main index "MASI" recording an increase of 0.03 percent, settling at 18,852.64 points.
The "MASI.20" index, which reflects the performance of 20 companies listed on the stock exchange, recorded an increase of 0.01 percent to 1,485.77 points, while MASI.ESG, the index of companies with the best rating, increased by 0.09 percent to 1,252.66 points.
For its part, "MASI Mid and Small Cap", the index of the performance of the prices of small and medium-sized companies listed on the stock exchange, recorded a profit of 0.89 percent to 1,857.88 points.
On the level of individual values, the strongest rises were recorded by "Infolys" (+6.04% to 193 dirhams), "Ciments du Maroc" (+4.59% to 1,935 dirhams), "Stokvis North Africa" (+4.26% to 98 dirhams), "Afriquia Gaz" (+3.89% to 4,197 dirhams), and "Med Paper" (+3.66% to 27.5 dirhams).
In contrast, the strongest declines were recorded by "Label Vie" (-4.57% to 4,390 dirhams), "Microdata" (-3.46% to 772 dirhams), "Cash Plus" (-2.92% to 298.05 dirhams), "Disty Technologies" (-2.86% to 340 dirhams), and "Managem" (-1.48% to 6,305 dirhams).
The "MASI" index had ended trading on Wednesday with a profit of 1.03 percent.
