The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for today, Sunday, that the weather will be characterized by snowfall over the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas Mountains.
The weather will remain rainy and accompanied by occasional thunderstorms over a number of regions of the Kingdom, including the Tangier region, the northern and central plains, the Rif, the Souss region, the Atlas Mountains and adjacent areas, the phosphate plateaus and the region of Walmas and the Chiadma region.
The atmosphere will be partly cloudy with light and scattered rain in the Eastern region, the Mediterranean coasts, the Sais, and the north of the Saharan provinces.
Strong to somewhat strong winds are also expected in the northwest of the country, the northern and central plains, the Atlas Mountains and adjacent areas, the Eastern region and also in the south-east of the country and in the south.
Minimum temperatures will range between minus 04 and 02 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, between 04 and 08 degrees in the Rif, the high plateaus and the southeastern foothills, and between 14 and 18 degrees near the coasts, and will be between 08 and 14 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom.
Daytime temperatures will rise in the south-east of the country, while it will witness some slight decrease in the rest of the regions.
The sea will be slightly choppy to rough, and locally rough to very rough at night on the Mediterranean front, and strong to very rough on the Alboran Sea, and will become rough during the evening in the Strait of Gibraltar, and strong to very rough between Cape Spartel and Tan-Tan, and rough to strong on the rest of the Atlantic coast.
