HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The National Railway Office revealed the measures it adopted on the occasion of the match between the Moroccan national team and its Tanzanian counterpart, within the framework of supporting the movement of fans before and after the match, and ensuring the smooth flow of travel through the train network.
The office explained that it has developed a special program aimed at facilitating the movement of fans coming from different cities, by strengthening the railway offer and adapting the flight schedules to suit the timing of the match and the flow of passengers. This program included the addition of 15 additional trains to secure transportation in both directions.
According to the data provided by the office, more than 21,000 fans were transported under normal organizational conditions, with measures taken to avoid overcrowding inside stations and on board trains, and to ensure the smooth process of access and boarding.
In the same context, 240 employees from the office's cadres and users were mobilized, who were assigned the tasks of framing, guiding passengers, providing information, and contributing to organizing movement inside the stations, before and after the end of the match.
These measures fall within the continuous preparations to support major sporting events hosted by Morocco, most notably the 2025 African Cup of Nations, where rail transport is one of the essential elements in managing the movement of fans between cities and stadiums.
The National Railway Office confirmed that these operations fall within its regular tasks related to serving passengers and supporting major events, within the framework of improving the quality of services and ensuring safe and organized transportation for train users.
