In response to rumors circulating on social media, the local prison administration in Beni Mellal denied the validity of what was circulated about the inmate M.A., who was described by some pages as "the biggest court broker from inside the prison" and that she "lives in luxury inside the institution" and "attends court sessions as if she were at a party."
The administration confirmed in an official statement that the inmate resides in a shared room with a number of inmates, and does not enjoy any special privileges, pointing out that any communication with the outside world is exclusively via the landline phone available outside the room and under the organizational regulations adopted within the institution. The administration also clarified that the inmate goes to court due to her follow-up in a state of release on the second case, in addition to the case in which she was sentenced in appeal, confirming that she wears ordinary clothes during her transport to the court, as is the case with the rest of the inmates, without any signs of well-being or discrimination. The institution's administration indicated that this statement comes to clarify the facts to the public and correct the fallacies circulating on social media.
