Police elements in the regional security zone in the city of Biougra, in coordination with the services of the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, managed, in the early hours of Saturday, January 10th, to seize 12,090 narcotic pills and arrest three people between the ages of 22 and 30, on suspicion of their involvement in the possession and promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances.
Two of the suspects were arrested in a light vehicle on the outskirts of the city of Biougra, where the search operation resulted in the discovery of 7,500 narcotic medical pills of the "Rivotril" type in their possession, in addition to an amount of money suspected to be from the proceeds of drug promotion. The ongoing investigations and investigations in this case enabled the arrest of a third person suspected of being linked to this criminal activity, before the search operation carried out inside a house he used in the rural area of "Qleia" led to the discovery of an additional 4,590 hallucinogenic pills of the "Ecstasy" type in his possession, as well as another sum of money from the proceeds of committing these criminal acts. The suspects have been subjected to a judicial investigation that is being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to determine the remaining possible extensions of this criminal activity, as well as to arrest the remaining alleged perpetrators of these criminal acts.
