The Government Council approved, on Thursday, two draft decrees related to the implementation of the high royal decision to declare October 31st of each year a national occasion under the name "Unity Day".
The Minister in charge of relations with Parliament, the official spokesman for the government, Mustapha Baitas, explained during a press conference following the weekly meeting of the Council, that it concerns draft decree No. 2.26.14 supplementing decree No. 2.04.426 issued on 16 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1425 (December 29, 2004) to determine the list of paid holidays in agricultural and non-agricultural activities, submitted by the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Enterprises, Employment and Skills.
He added that it also concerns draft decree No. 2.25.1140 supplementing decree No. 2.77.169 issued on 9 Rabi' al-Awwal 1397 (February 28, 1977) to determine the list of holidays allowed for vacation in public administrations, public institutions and privileged services, submitted by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
According to the Minister, the two projects come in implementation of the high royal decision to declare October 31st of each year a national occasion under the name "Unity Day" for the significance and references to the national and territorial unity of the Kingdom, and embodying the historical transformation that the course of our national cause has witnessed, and strengthening the spirit of national unity and adherence to the national sanctities of the Kingdom and its legitimate rights.
