An agreement to support projects was signed yesterday, Friday, in Rabat, between the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency and the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine, during the agency's annual charitable ceremony "Night of Charity – Charity Dinner" dedicated to collecting donations.
This agreement, signed by the Director in charge of managing the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, and the President of the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine, Mohamed Jamal Al-Bouzidi, during this ceremony organized within the framework of the "Jerusalem Nights in Morocco" program, aims to finance support projects directed to Palestinians in Jerusalem in the fields of social assistance, human development, and income-generating projects. The funding is distributed to the "Humanitarian Aid Program during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH", the "Human Development and Small Income-Generating Projects Program for the benefit of active groups", and "Medical campaigns in Bedouin communities and villages in the Jerusalem governorate during the holy month." In a speech on the occasion, Mr. Cherkaoui confirmed that "Night of Charity" falls within the initiatives of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, which continues to perform its duty in supporting Palestinians and their institutions with generous and continuous support from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee. Mr. Cherkaoui stressed that the Moroccan commitment to supporting Palestinians is a "firm covenant that Moroccans do not falter from", praising in the same context the trust that citizens place in the institution through their donations that reflect the spirit of generosity and giving. In addition to signing this agreement, "Night of Charity – Charity Dinner" was distinguished by the presentation of segments that included religious songs by the Al-Multaqa Al-Shabab Al-Turathi Al-Maqdisi group, and singing selections for the "Anwar Al-Quds" religious singing band, headed by the singer Zuhair Al-Sabah from Jerusalem, and segments from religious singing by the Al-Furqan singing group and Quran recitation, headed by Mohamed Omar Al-Jaadi. The activities of the "Jerusalem Nights in Morocco" program will conclude tomorrow, Saturday, with the organization of a morning activity for children – with the participation of children from Jerusalem, and an evening that includes various segments, including a solo performance on the qanun for Palestinian melodies by the young artist Yousra Chouhad, and national singing selections for the Al-Multaqa Al-Shabab Al-Turathi Al-Maqdisi group – Jerusalem. It is worth mentioning that the "Jerusalem Nights in Morocco" program comes within the context of the continuous efforts made by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, with generous instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to enhance the symbolic presence of the holy city in the human conscience, and to consolidate the values of solidarity and unwavering support for its people and its sanctities.
