HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Zariouh
In a tragic accident, the city of Zayou, in the Nador province, witnessed a painful incident last Sunday afternoon that claimed the life of a fifteen-year-old child, after he fell from a truck he was trying to hold onto in the Sugar Factory district, on the road leading to Hassi Berkane. The accident left a great shock in the city and raised a state of concern among its residents, who expressed their deep regret for what had happened.
According to initial information, the child, who resides in the Al-Wahda neighborhood, known locally as “Qaraqsha”, sustained serious injuries as a result of the fall. He was quickly transported to the nearby hospital in Zayou by an ambulance belonging to the Civil Protection Center. Due to the seriousness of his health condition, he was later transferred to Al-Hassani Regional Hospital in Nador for necessary treatment. Medical sources confirmed that the child's condition remains very critical, as he does not respond to the medical staff overseeing his condition at the moment, which raises great concern among his family and the city's residents. This incident caused sadness and frustration, especially as it recalls similar accidents that the city had witnessed in the past, which left behind tragic consequences. The incident brought to the fore a dangerous phenomenon known to the city of Zayou, where some children and adolescents resort to clinging to trucks and large vehicles, a risky behavior that may lead to serious injuries or even death. This behavior has previously caused horrific accidents, the latest of which was the death of a child as a result of similar practices.
