In preparation for facing the effects of floods, local authorities and technical teams in the city of Tangier have begun equipping the National Camping Center in the Diplomatic Forest to receive affected families.
The equipping operations included preparing and cleaning accommodation rooms, and providing them with blankets and mattresses. Kitchens and sanitary facilities were also equipped to ensure a comfortable stay for the affected people. This move aims to raise the center's readiness for any immediate housing decision, as its capacity is about a thousand beds, making it one of the largest spaces capable of receiving displaced people in an organized manner. This large capacity contributes to reducing the pressure on the housing centers in Ksar El Kebir, which were significantly damaged by the floods.
