The Regional Academy of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, directed by Wafaa Chaker, has called for the reception of students arriving from areas affected by the weather disturbances.
The regional official sent a letter on the subject to the directors of the Rabat-Salé region academy, the Fes-Meknes academy, and the Casablanca-Settat academy, of which HIBAPRESS obtained copies. She requested that they give instructions to all public and private educational institutions in the regional academy they oversee, in order to receive students arriving from Ksar El Kebir and the areas affected by the floods in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, and enable them to continue their studies there, temporarily, until the situation improves and they return to their original residences. The regional official stressed that the exceptional circumstances experienced by a group of areas in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, especially the city of Ksar El Kebir, due to the recent weather disturbances and the resulting floods, which led to the suspension of studies for a full week, and the final evacuation of the city, and the temporary relocation of a significant number of families to other cities inside and outside the region, this is to ensure the right of students to education and to enable them to continue their studies in safe and appropriate conditions, and to ensure pedagogical continuity during this exceptional stage.
