A new development is taking place in the consulates of the Kingdom of Morocco in Spain during this period after the collective settlement of irregular immigrants was announced, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation mobilized all its administrative staff attached to the Spanish Kingdom in order to ensure effective and efficient consular services commensurate with the size of the administrative needs required by this stage of vigilance, experience and selflessness.
In this context, and under the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and laudable initiatives of the Ambassador "Karima Benyaich", informed sources revealed to HIBAPRESS that a meeting was held via video technology, chaired by the Ambassador and attended by the 12 consuls general spread across Spanish territory, where the issue of how to manage the collective settlement process and administratively follow up on it was discussed so that Moroccan immigrants could conduct their related administrative affairs.
The head of the mission, "Karima Benyaich," stressed during the meeting the importance of enabling all users to access decent services and tangible returns, embodying the high royal care enjoyed by Moroccan immigrants abroad.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of several mechanisms in order to keep pace with the pressure on the appointments system, which witnessed great confusion and delays after the announcement of the settlement law that we had not known before, to the extent that the dates for completing agencies and passports have exceeded a month and a half in all consular centers without exception.
For its part, the Moroccan consulates in Spain reinforced these initiatives with unprecedented measures that included increasing the acceptance rate of appointments as a first stage, followed by extending the working hours for an additional three hours, so instead of ending at 3:00 p.m., it became until 6:00 p.m.
It was also decided to open the consular centers to Moroccan immigrants on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) in addition to official holiday holidays throughout the month of February at least, according to the programmed program, and the procedure may extend for other months if it turns out that the situation and the need require it.
The Moroccan consulates circulated their new statement through social media platforms and through the associations that are active in their consular circle so that everyone is informed, while other consulates preferred to use the so-called "influencers" for the same purpose and purpose.
This unprecedented initiative recorded great satisfaction among the members of the Moroccan community residing in the Spanish lands, as it reflected a new strategy in dealing positively with the requirements of this category, as the great credit goes to the recommendations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, without forgetting the consuls general and their administrative staff who showed before the initiative their high caliber and eagerness that is unparalleled in dealing with what the stage requires of firmness, responsibility and national sense.
To achieve this goal as well, our special sources from the General Directorate of National Security confirmed that they mobilized all their human and technical capabilities to keep pace with the settlement process that will benefit hundreds of thousands of Moroccan immigrants, as the most important document in this procedure is the good conduct certificate issued by the General Directorate of National Security, and then the Moroccan passport issued by the Ministry of Interior in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after those wishing to obtain it submit applications to the Moroccan consular centers abroad.
