The elements of the Regional Judicial Police Department in the city of Sale, on Wednesday, February 11, managed to arrest a 37-year-old Turkish citizen residing in Morocco illegally, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued against him by the judicial authorities in Turkey.
The suspected foreigner was arrested in a security operation carried out in the city of Sale, where his screening in the database of the International Criminal Police Organization "Interpol" showed that he was wanted internationally under a red notice, issued at the request of the National Central Bureau in Ankara, to implement a judicial ruling issued against him on the background of his involvement in a case related to drug trafficking. The suspected foreigner was subjected to extradition procedures in accordance with the instructions of the competent Public Prosecution, while the National Central Bureau "Interpol Rabat", affiliated with the General Directorate of National Security, was tasked with notifying its counterpart in Turkey of the arrest on the extradition procedure. The arrest of the suspect comes within the context of the commitment of the Moroccan security services to activate international security cooperation mechanisms, especially the pursuit and arrest of persons wanted internationally in cases of transnational crime.
