The Regional Directorate of National Education in Tetouan announced today, Thursday, the suspension of studies in all public and private educational institutions in the Tetouan region on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of February, due to poor weather conditions.
The Directorate said in a news bulletin that the decision came following the warning bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology on Thursday, February 12, 2026, which predicted heavy rainfall, in addition to considering the condition of the valleys in the region and the nature of its mountainous terrain. The Directorate explained that the decision also came in implementation of the recommendations of the regional alert cell, and to ensure the safety of students and educational staff.
