The sports hall in the Al-Huda neighborhood of Agadir witnessed, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, the official launch of the twenty-sixth session of the regional forum for school and vocational guidance and information ORIENT’INO, organized this year under the slogan: "Guidance: Sports and Youth in the Digital Age", in an atmosphere of distinguished organization and the significant presence of important figures from various sectors.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Said Amzazi, the Wali of the Souss-Massa region, the Governor of Agadir Ida Outanane, along with the President of the Souss-Massa Regional Council, the President of the Agadir Ida Outanane Prefectural Council, the Director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Souss-Massa region, the parliamentarians in the region, and the Regional Director of the Agadir Ida Outanane Directorate by proxy, in addition to the presence of regional directors. The ceremony was also attended by the President of Ibn Zohr University, the deans and directors of its affiliated institutions and colleges, in addition to a number of elected officials, heads of elected councils, and representatives of institutional partners, in a picture that reflects the increasing importance that this annual event has gained within the educational and developmental stakes at the regional level. The official inauguration of the forum constituted a significant step towards the collective mobilization and the serious involvement of various actors in the school, university, and vocational guidance workshop, considering it an essential pillar for building the personal project of learners, and an effective mechanism to enhance equal opportunities and achieve spatial justice. The first day witnessed a large turnout, with the number of visitors estimated at around 14,500 visitors, who were distributed among: students of various educational tracks; fathers, mothers, and guardians; directors of educational institutions; representatives of civil society organizations; educational frameworks; inspection body frameworks; and educational administration frameworks. This session was distinguished by the participation of 59 exhibitors representing higher education and vocational training institutions, in addition to public and private sectors, which allowed for a diverse and comprehensive presentation of study and training paths, and opened up broad horizons for the youth of the region to learn about the available opportunities and build their future choices on clear foundations. The event also recorded the intensive presence of guidance frameworks in the Agadir Ida Outanane Regional Directorate, who undertook reception, accompaniment, and training tasks, in addition to providing individual and group consultations for students and their families, which enhances the culture of conscious choice based on accurate data. At the program level, the first day witnessed the launch of a series of educational and innovative activities, most notably: the launch of the Hackathon SPORTECH APP competition; the start of the regional chess competition qualifiers; organizing a MasterClass for students; launching the regional FIFA E-Sport electronic sports competition; intensive reception of beneficiaries at the regional center for information and guidance assistance for individual consultations; and the start of passing psychometric tests. These paragraphs saw remarkable interaction from students and their parents, especially regarding new study paths, future professions, and specializations related to sports, technology, and digital transformation, which reflects the growing awareness of the importance of early guidance based on accurate scientific foundations to keep pace with the transformations of the age and the requirements of the labor market.
