The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for today, Saturday, that the weather in general will be characterized by rainfall and showers, which will sometimes be thundery, in the Rif, the Sais region, the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and their adjacent plains, and the north of the Eastern region.
Other scattered rains will also affect Tangier, Loukkos, Gharb, the Atlantic Ocean plains extending north of El Jadida, and the south of the Eastern region. Snowfall is expected over the peaks of the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the Eastern High Plateaus, which exceed 1200 meters in altitude. Strong to fairly strong wind gusts are also expected in Tangier, the Rif, the northwest of the country, the Atlas Mountains and their surrounding areas, as well as the Sais region, the Phosphate plateaus, the Walmas, the Atlantic Ocean plains, the Mediterranean coast, the Eastern region, the southeast, and the southern provinces of the Kingdom. Local sand grains are also expected to be scattered in the Eastern region, the southeast, and the southern provinces. Minimum temperatures will range between 09- and 04 degrees in the Atlas Mountains, 03- and 00 degrees in the Rif and High Plateaus, and between 10 and 19 degrees in the desert provinces of the Kingdom, and near the coasts, and 06 and 11 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom. Daytime temperatures will be decreasing. The sea will be rough to very rough and will become less rough to rough on the Mediterranean front, and rough to very rough in the Strait of Gibraltar, and very rough to very strong north of Tarfaya, and rough to very rough in the south.
