HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Almeria has recently witnessed unprecedented dynamism, due to the significant increase in the number of users from the Moroccan community residing in southern Spain, who wish to obtain essential administrative documents, in the context of circulating data on expected legal procedures related to the regularization of the situation of foreigners.
According to available data, the consulate has recorded a noticeable increase in demand for good conduct certificates, passports, national identity cards, in addition to other consular services, which has put increasing pressure on the administrative services, necessitating the adoption of exceptional organizational measures to ensure the continuity of the public utility under appropriate conditions. Facing this situation, the consulate has extended reception hours and opened its doors during weekends, with the mobilization of all cadres and employees, with the aim of accelerating the processing of files, reducing waiting times, and ensuring smooth access to consular services for the benefit of citizens. These measures have received widespread satisfaction within the Moroccan community in the city of Almeria and its surroundings, as a number of users considered that simplifying procedures and the speed of response helped put an end to illegal practices carried out by intermediaries, especially with regard to obtaining some administrative documents from Morocco. For her part, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Almeria, Somaya Al-Fatihi, confirmed that the consular services continue to work with a spirit of responsibility to serve members of the Moroccan community, in line with the high directives of King Mohammed VI, who attaches special importance to the issues of Moroccans abroad, stressing the consulate's keenness to positively interact with the various requests of citizens within its territorial jurisdiction.
