The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced that the first day of the month of Ramadan 1447 AH is tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, 2026.
The Ministry explained in a statement that it had observed the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH, on the evening of Wednesday, Sha'ban 29, 1447 AH, corresponding to February 18, 2026, and confirmed the sighting of the crescent in a legitimate manner.
The following is the text of the statement issued by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs:
"The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs informs citizens that it has observed the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH, on the evening of Wednesday, Sha'ban 29, 1447 AH, corresponding to February 18, 2026 AD, and confirmed the sighting of the crescent in a legitimate manner.
Therefore, the first day of Ramadan is tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, 2026 AD.
May Allah bless this blessed month upon our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, Protector of the homeland and religion, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah grant him victory, with Yemen, goodness, happiness, and blessings, and upon his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, and his happy brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Sharifian Royal Family with happiness and prosperity, and upon the Moroccan people and the entire Islamic nation with progress and prosperity, indeed He is the Hearer, the Responder."
