Aziz Rabbah denied the validity of the data circulating regarding contact between him and the Istiqlal Party regarding candidacy for the upcoming electoral deadlines, describing what was published in some media outlets and electronic pages as "a rumor that has no basis in truth."
Rabbah confirmed, in a statement that HIBAPRESS received a copy of, that he has no knowledge whatsoever of what has been circulated, stressing that he has never contacted the leadership of the Istiqlal Party or any other political party in this regard.
The speaker expressed his regret that some media outlets published this news without, as he put it, the necessary investigation or contacting him to verify its accuracy, considering that this does not align with the rules of journalistic professionalism and the ethics of media work.
In contrast, Rabbah explained that he is currently dedicated to independent national civil work that he launched with a number of national competencies inside and outside Morocco, under the name "The Initiative: The Nation First and Always," confirming that this framework falls within independent civil work away from party affiliations.
He also reiterated the confirmation that he stands at an equal distance from the various national parties, expressing his appreciation for all political bodies that seek to serve the nation and adhere to its values and constants.
The statement, dated Monday, February 23, concluded by emphasizing the need to verify accuracy in addressing news related to political affairs, to avoid any confusion among the public.
