HIBAPRESS
Algeria expressed its concern today, Saturday, regarding the accelerating military escalation in the Gulf region, following the failure of the Iranian-American talks that took place with the mediation of the Sultanate of Oman.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the negotiations, which took place within the framework of Omani mediation, had raised great hopes for the possibility of reaching a peaceful settlement, but their failure, and the current military escalation with unexpected consequences, "is a matter of great regret." Algeria affirmed in its statement that it is following this development with great concern, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and uphold the spirit of responsibility, to avoid exposing the Gulf region to further manifestations of insecurity and instability. It is worth noting that the Gulf region has witnessed since dawn today, Saturday, air raids and reciprocal rocket fire between Israel-United States of America on the one hand, and Iran on the other.
