HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ouldali
Last evening, February 27th, the judicial police in the Imzouren region managed to arrest a person in his forties, involved in a case of assault and battery leading to death.
The details of this case go back to the fact that the perpetrator had entered into a heated dispute with his neighbor in a neighborhood of Imzouren just before iftar and the call to Maghrib prayer, but the matter quickly escalated to assault and battery, where the perpetrator hit the victim with a wooden stick that caused a bloody wound to his head, after which he was transferred to the regional hospital in Ajdir in the Al Hoceima region, but the victim died on Thursday morning, succumbing to his wounds. This, after the search and intensive field investigations that the security services launched since the incident, the judicial police were able to arrest the perpetrator in a short time, based on information provided by the General Directorate of National Territory Surveillance. The person involved in this case has been subjected to measures of custody in order to deepen the investigation with him and to know the circumstances and details of the case, pending his presentation tomorrow before the eyes of the Attorney General at the Al Hoceima Court of Appeal.
