The forests in Nador are suffering from a serious environmental deterioration in recent years, as large areas of their trees have been damaged and are threatened with removal. This significant deterioration in their quality is due to several environmental factors, most notably the years of drought that have greatly affected the surrounding environment. The continuous drought has reduced the growth of trees and made them susceptible to diseases, which has exacerbated the environmental crisis experienced by these forests.
In addition to the drought, harmful insects contribute to the deterioration of these forests even further in "Beni Chiker, Beni Bouayferou, Beni Saidal Al-Jabal, Louta and Iksan." Where insects spread that affect the health of trees and lead to their destruction. These insects not only harm plants, but also contribute to soil degradation and threaten biodiversity in the region. This is clearly evident in some areas that were considered of great environmental importance.
This environmental degradation has caused significant damage to the forests, which has raised great concern among officials in the region. This prompted them to call on the concerned authorities to move quickly to develop effective solutions to protect the forests from continuous deterioration. It has become necessary to support afforestation efforts and rehabilitate the affected areas in order to preserve the vegetation cover and protect it from further damage.
In this context, the parliamentary deputy for the Nador constituency, Mohammadi Touhtouh, addressed a written question to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests. In his question, the deputy inquired about the measures the government will take to address this deteriorating environmental situation, and demanded clarification of the measures taken to protect these forests and limit their deterioration. He also stressed the need to strengthen efforts in the field of afforestation to restore life to the affected areas.
In conclusion, questions remain about how to deal with the environmental situation in the forests of Nador. Will the government be able to take effective measures to protect the forests?
