The road infrastructure in the Khemisset province is witnessing continuous dynamism within the framework of efforts to improve the transportation network and strengthen the connection between different provinces, as work has begun to rehabilitate regional road number 409 on the section extending from kilometer point PK55+961 to kilometer point PK74+012.
This vital project, supervised by the Regional Directorate of Equipment in Khemisset, comes in the context of supporting the road axes connecting the cities of Khemisset and Sidi Slimane, which will facilitate the movement of people and goods and improve road safety conditions. A total financial envelope of approximately 150 million dirhams has been allocated to complete this project, distributed over two integrated phases: the first phase: 75 million dirhams, the second phase: 75 million dirhams. The task of carrying out the work has been assigned to the Source Bleue company, which will be responsible for implementing the various stages of the project according to the approved technical standards, including strengthening the road infrastructure, improving the quality of the road section, and modernizing safety-related equipment. It is expected that this project will contribute to reducing the travel time between the concerned areas, breaking the isolation of a number of rural communities, as well as supporting local economic activities, especially agricultural and commercial. The project is also part of a more comprehensive vision to rehabilitate the regional road network, keeping pace with the developmental transformations that the Kingdom is witnessing, and enhancing the attractiveness of the provinces for investment, with a view to achieving balanced and sustainable spatial development. This project is relied upon to form a qualitative addition to the infrastructure in the Khemisset province, and confirms the commitment of the concerned authorities to continue improving the quality of basic services for the benefit of citizens.
