HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The political scene in the city of Meknes has long been witnessing a state of tension and conflict within the municipal council, where some sessions have turned into a space for heated discussion and the exchange of accusations between a number of elected officials, which negatively affects the pace of local affairs management and the expectations of the population.
In contrast to this tense political situation, there is an urgent need to accelerate the pace of development projects that the city is waiting for, especially in the areas of urban planning, infrastructure, and the rehabilitation of public spaces.
In this context, reliance is placed on the technical and institutional role that the Fes Development Company can play under the supervision of its General Manager, "Hicham El-Kartassi," in accompanying a number of projects related to the rehabilitation of the city and the implementation of urban development programs, contributing to the acceleration of the development projects that Meknes needs, including the roads that are supervised by the GTR company in the city, which has experience in the field.
The role of the regional authorities remains essential in accompanying these projects and ensuring coordination between the various stakeholders, in a way that serves the interest of the city and its residents.
The residents of Meknes today are still looking forward to a stage in which serious work and cooperation prevail among the various actors, away from political conflicts, in order to push forward the wheel of development and restore the reputation of a city with a rich history and potential.
